Yes, I can touch-type: Our courses in schools

As schools have become aware of the success of their students who have attended Yes, I can touch-type they have approached us to run courses on their premises. We try to be as flexible as possible and are always willing to discuss
ways in which we can work with an individual school.

Schools that we are currently working with:

Dulwich Prep London

For the past five years we have run after-school clubs for Dulwich Prep London.
Each course comprises ten one-hour after school sessions.

‘The success rates speak for themselves. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough!’
Kieron Norris, ex-Head of ICT, Dulwich Prep London

‘‘We often see a huge impact on the child’s confidence too. The parents and boys are always delighted
with the teaching and results.’

Alleyn’s School, Dulwich

At Alleyn’s Junior School we run a lunchtime club which has been extremely successful and is very popular with the pupils.

‘For the past two years we have welcomed YES Tuition and Training into Alleyn’s to run our lunchtime touch-typing club. We have seen our children learn the lifelong skill of touch-typing through Norman’s excellent program and his particular focus on the weekly progress of each child … I have no hesitation in recommending Yes Tuition and Training as a first class establishment for teaching this invaluable life skill.’
Patricia Reed, Head of Learning Support, Alleyn’s Junior School

Sydenham High School

At Sydenham we have run an after-school club on Wednesday evenings for the past six years.

‘Yes, Tuition and Training provide excellent courses – they are professional, practical and purposeful… Children with dyslexia and dyspraxia receive the kind of patient guidance which boosts their confidence and allows them to achieve in line with their peers.’
Clare Polling, Head of Learning Strategies, Sydenham High School

St Christopher’s School, Beckenham

Here we have run three lunchtime clubs each of which has been extremely successful.

‘I had previously been impressed by parents’ comments about children who had completed the course in Greenwich
and can now personally understand their enthusiasm.
The calm and caring manner of Norman and his support teachers promotes confidence and enthusiasm in the class.
A great success and wonderful find!’
Mrs H Coupe, SENCO, St Christopher’s School, Beckenham, Kent

Trinity School of John Whitgift, Croydon

At Trinity, for the past three years, we have run a week-long intensive course for 20 pupils. The School was particularly enthusiastic to give the boys the opportunity to gain this valuable skill.

‘The methods used, give students accurate and fast typing but also bring a fantastic sense of achievement. Additionally the professionalism of staff and the care for each individual are first rate.’
Mr R Brookman, Deputy Headmaster, TrinitySchool of John Whitgift
